This part-time Accounts Payable Officer role in Southampton sits within a busy Accounts Payable and Client Monies team. Duties include processing invoices and ensuring accurate, timely payments, managing residential, nursing, domiciliary and other client payments, raising invoices, handling overpayment recovery and account reconciliations, and responding to supplier and client queries. The position requires strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, good IT skills including Microsoft Office, and strong organisational and time-management abilities. Pay is £14.90 to £14.92 per hour.

Account Manager - Accounts Payable & Client Monies

Berry Recruitment are looking for an Account Manager to join a busy Accounts Payable and Client Monies team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual with strong financial and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Managing residential, nursing, domiciliary and other client payments.
  • Raising invoices and managing client monies.
  • Handling overpayment recovery and account reconciliations.
  • Supporting audits, year-end and financial reporting activities.
  • Responding to supplier and client queries and providing financial advice.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and service standards.

About You:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience working to customer service or service-level standards.
  • Confident problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.

Please note: There is no on-site parking available. Part-time hours of 25 hours across 5 days can be discussed. The role will be office-based during training, followed by 3 days in the office, subject to agreement with the manager.
