Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A Bolton-based chartered Quantity Surveying consultancy is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their new projects. The successful candidate will join an experienced Quantity Surveying team, supporting the delivery of a varied portfolio of projects across retail, industrial, residential and healthcare sectors. You will gain exposure to the full cost management process, working across both pre and post-contract stages. Responsibilities include assisting with cost planning, contract administration, procurement and liaising with clients. The role offers a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, with a bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, professional membership fees, private healthcare and a pension scheme.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyors Role

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will gain exposure to the full cost management process, working across both pre and post-contract stages. Responsibilities will include assisting with cost planning, contract administration, procurement and liaising with clients, providing an excellent opportunity to develop their technical skills and experience.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor

• Completed a Quantity Surveying degree or similar
• 2+ years Consultancy Quantity Surveying experience
• Ideally worked within a PQS / Consultancy practice
• Good pre contract knowledge
• Keen to achieve MRICS
• Good communication skills
