Back-End Java Developer

Spencer Rose are urgently seeking a Back-End Java Developer for a 6+ month contract with a Tier-1 bank in Manchester, working hybrid with two days a week in the office. You will need strong hands-on Java (8/11/17+) experience in enterprise application development, along with microservices architecture using Spring Boot, REST APIs and distributed system design. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a must, covering deployment, monitoring and cloud-native services. The role also involves Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD with Git and Jenkins or GitHub Actions, SQL/NoSQL databases, automated testing, Agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement with good communication skills.
