Class 2 HGV Driver - Kendal

This role is for a Class 2 HGV Driver based in Kendal, collecting general and recyclable waste from commercial and domestic customers in Kendal and the surrounding areas. Key duties include safely driving and working on the client's refuse collection vehicles and assisting as a recycling operative when necessary. Candidates must hold an HGV Category C (Class 2) driving licence, a valid Driver CPC and a digital tachograph driver card. The position pays £14.49 to £16.70 per hour, with hours of 4am to 1pm and overtime paid. The role is outdoors and physically demanding.

As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Collecting general/recyclable waste from commercial/domestic customers in Kendal and the surrounding areas.
• Safely driving and working on our client's refuse collection vehicles (HGV).
• Assisting as a recycling operative whenever necessary.
• Ensuring that all paperwork and documentation is accurately completed and up to date.

This role requires physical stamina as it can be demanding during peak periods. As an outdoor role, you should be prepared to work in all weather conditions. Our client is looking for candidates who are reasonably fit and willing to go the extra mile.

To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A driving licence appropriate for HGV Category C (HGV Class 2) vehicles.
• A valid Driver CPC.
• A digital tachograph driver card.

Hours: 4am - 1pm - OT is paid

Rate: -16.70 per hour
