Cover Supervisor

This Cover Supervisor role is based in Basildon at a mixed academy for pupils aged 11 to 16. The position offers flexible work patterns, with part or full time hours available, and is temporary in the first instance. It is suitable for a recent graduate or an experienced Cover Supervisor, and applications are welcome from graduates specialising in any field or subject. Duties include supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher, managing pupil behaviour in line with the school's policies, ensuring students complete their work, and providing feedback to the team on pupil behaviour. Pay ranges from £85.50 to £130 per day.

A Cover Supervisor is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School in Essex.

This Cover Supervisor position can be part or full time and will be temporary in the first instance.

If appointed as a Cover Supervisor your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher
• Managing pupil behaviour in line with the schools policies
• Ensuring students complete their work
• Providing feedback to the team in relation to pupils behaviour

The rates of pay for this Cover Supervisor post will be between -85.50 to -130 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The School

A Mixed Academy for pupils aged 11 to 16 years old, located in Basildon.

It was established in 2011 and there are currently just over 1700 pupils on enrolment.

Pupils arrive on site at 8:20am and the last period is at 3:10pm.

Inspectors have observed that 'The school gives teachers the time and training they need to build and maintain their subject expertise. This helps them to teach the curriculum well.'

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
• UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
• Experience of working with children/teenagers or as a Cover Supervisor in UK Secondary schools
