This Elec Maintenance Engineer role is based in Crewkerne, offering £35,000 to £40,000 per annum plus overtime and shift allowance at 1.25x, with day shifts and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. The successful candidate will carry out fault finding and repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including PLCs, motors and inverters, and work on single and three-phase electrical systems. Electrical maintenance covers lighting, wiring, testing and alarm systems, alongside maintaining conveyors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems and production machinery. Applicants should ideally be dual-skilled and have at least three years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Overtime/Shift Allowance at 1.25x
Day shift
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

The successful candidate will ideally be dual-skilled in mechanical and electrical maintenance and have experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, plastics, aerospace, automotive, precision engineering or similar environment.



The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Fault finding and repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Fault finding and replacement of PLCs, motors and inverters.

  • Working on both single and three-phase electrical systems.

  • Electrical maintenance including lighting, wiring, testing and alarm systems.

  • Maintaining and repairing conveyors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems and production machinery.

  • Fabricating and producing replacement repair parts where required.

You will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer.

  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • A relevant electrical qualification such as City & Guilds, 18th Edition or NVQ Level 3+.

  • Experience working with single and three-phase electrical systems.

  • Experience within a foundry environment would be advantageous.
