Electrical Maintenance Engineer - CHP & Energy Centre

This site-based role in Woking covers the operation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair of electrical systems and plant equipment within the CHP and District Energy sector. Responsibilities include carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), responding to reactive breakdowns and faults, installing, testing and certifying new electrical installations, and inspecting and testing existing low voltage electrical systems. You will work with electrical distribution, SCADA and PLC equipment.

Alecto Recruitment Ltd currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced Operations and Maintenance Electrician to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP (Combined Heat and Power), Power Generation and District Energy sector.

Job Summary

• Site / static based in Woking
• Working as an Electrician, you'll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair of electrical systems and plant equipment.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), responding to reactive breakdowns and faults.
• Installing, testing and certifying new electrical installations.
• Inspecting and testing existing low voltage electrical systems.
• Working within the District Energy sector and working with electrical distribution, SCADA, PLC control systems and BMS.
• Fully Employed - Monday to Friday - 40hrs - 7:30am-4pm as standard

What We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification or recognised electrical apprenticeship
• City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
• Low Voltage experience - preferred
• Ideally previous experience with electrical installations, switchgear and control gear
• Electrical Building Services / FM background also considered
