Fabrication Technicians

This role is for Fabrication Technicians based in Leicester, working Monday to Friday on 6-2 and 2-10 shifts with a generous shift allowance. The position involves manufacturing precision infrared and visible optical components to exacting customer specifications, programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to cut, mill, shape, polish and bevel optical components to micron level tolerances. Candidates must have proven experience programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines, manufacturing precision components to tight dimensional tolerances, reading engineering drawings, and using precision measurement equipment. Pay is £15.38 to £17.95 per hour.

They are currently seeking a number of Fabrication Technicians to join their team, working Mon-Fri 6-2 and 2-10 shifts, for which a generous shift allowance is paid.

You will be responsible for the manufacture of precision infrared and visible optical components to exacting customer specifications.

You will program, set and operate CNC-machinery to cut, mill, shape, polish-and bevel optical components, working to micron level tolerances and maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness and workmanship.

Requirements

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines.
• Experience manufacturing precision components to tight dimensional tolerances.
• Experience working to micron-level tolerances.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment.
