Fire Engineer

This Fire Engineer role in Eltham offers a salary of £55,000 to £65,000 with great progression and training. Joining a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy established for over 50 years, you will take ownership from day one, working closely with senior stakeholders before leading commissions and developing a small team as workload grows. You will be client-facing, leading projects end-to-end, completing and overseeing Fire Risk Assessments, and advising on relevant legislation and safety acts, including work on HRBs. The role includes hybrid working, management courses and a partnership programme, supporting a key group-wide project across housing, education, healthcare, commercial and refurbishment.

Are you a Fire Engineer looking to step into a role where you'll take the lead, grow a team around you, and shape a brand-new function within a well-established consultancy?

On offer is a unique opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy where you'll take ownership from day one, working closely with senior stakeholders initially before leading commissions and developing a small team as the workload grows.


This company has been established for over 50 years being a leader in the industry, delivering projects across housing, education, healthcare, commercial and refurbishment. As a result of continued growth and expansion, they are now building out a new team in Eltham to support a key group-wide project.


In this role you'll be client-facing, leading projects end-to-end, completing and overseeing Fire Risk Assessments, and advising on relevant legislation and safety acts, including work on HRBs. You'll have the autonomy to manage your diary, splitting time between office, site and hybrid working.


This role would suit an experienced Fire Engineer looking to take ownership, lead from the front, and progress long-term through a clear development pathway in a growing business.

The Role:

• Lead a new Fire Engineering function from the Eltham office, with hybrid working and site visits
• Deliver and lead fire safety commissions and projects through to completion
• Undertake/oversee Fire Risk Assessments and provide client-facing advice
• Support team growth over time, with progression and leadership development available

The Person:

• Strong real-world Fire Engineering / Fire Safety experience
• Comfortable leading commissions/projects and managing stakeholders in a client-facing role
• Knowledge of relevant fire legislation/safety acts, HRBs, and experience leading Fire Risk Assessments
