About this role

This is a full-time, permanent position for an experienced HGV/LCV Technician based in a commercial vehicle workshop in Sheffield, working a four-day back shift of 1:30pm to 12:00am (40 hours). The salary is £41,600 per annum depending on experience, plus paid overtime. You will service, maintain and repair HGVs, trailers and light commercial vehicles, and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic systems. Duties also include inspections, preventative maintenance, defect repairs and completing job cards, service sheets and online maintenance records. An NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is essential.

Description

We have a vacancy for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join an established commercial vehicle workshop in Sheffield, working a 4-day back shift.

HGV Technician Shift Pattern

4 days per week, 1:30pm to 12:00am (40 hours)

HGV Technician Salary = £41,600 per year Depending on Experience + Paid Overtime

The HGV Technician Role

  • Service, maintain and repair HGVs, trailers and light commercial vehicles, both franchised and non-franchised
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic systems
  • Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and defect repairs
  • Complete job cards, service sheets and online maintenance records

HGV Technician Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential)
  • At least 3 years' experience as an HGV Technician or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
  • LCV experience and an HGV licence are both a bonus
