This full-time permanent HR Assistant role is based in Havant, with three days a week working from home, and offers a salary of £26,500 to £27,940 per annum. Reporting into an HR Advisor, the post supports recruitment, the employee lifecycle, HR administration and ER. Duties include coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes, such as advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, references and pre-employment checks, and preparing contracts, offer letters and other HR documentation with accuracy and compliance. The role also provides first-line support for HR queries from managers, employees and candidates, and supports the HR team with ER casework, including preparing documentation.

Liberty Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation in the search for an experienced HR Assistant to join their busy People team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised and adaptable and are looking to develop their career within HR, supporting across recruitment, the employee lifecycle, HR administration and ER.

Reporting into a fantastic HR Advisor this full-time permanent role is based in Havant, with 3 days a week working from home and offering a salary of circa £27k, with some fantastic benefits, including; 25 days annual leave + BH, rising with continuous service + Birthday off, Flexible working options, EAP, Enhanced Sick Pay, Cycle to Work scheme and Enhanced maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave!

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, references and pre-employment checks.
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters and other HR documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide first-line support for HR queries from managers, employees and candidates.
  • Support the HR team with ER casework, including preparing documentation, arranging meetings and minute-taking.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to reporting around recruitment, absence, employee relations and leavers.
  • Support wellbeing initiatives and manage the exit interview and leaver processes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within HR or recruitment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and use your own initiative.
  • A high level of confidentiality, discretion and sensitivity when dealing with employee matters.
  • A proactive and resilient approach, with the confidence to build relationships and constructively challenge when required.
