HSE Officer

This is a 31-day contract for two Site HSE Officers on a steam turbine replacement project in Deeside, CH5 2LW, mobilising 29 November 2026. One position covers day shift and one night shift, working 10 hours per day, 6 days per week, at £30 to £34 per hour. You will monitor HSE compliance, risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work procedures, and oversee heavy lifting, mechanical installation, hot work and confined-space activities. Duties also include site inspections, toolbox talks, incident and near-miss reporting, and supporting emergency preparedness and environmental protection.

The Role

We are seeking two experienced Site HSE Officers to support a steam turbine replacement project, overseeing safe working practices throughout removal, installation, testing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor HSE compliance, risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work procedures.

• Oversee heavy lifting, mechanical installation, hot work and confined-space activities.

• Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks.

• Report incidents and near misses.

• Support emergency preparedness and environmental protection.

Requirements

• Relevant HSE qualifications.

• Experience in industrial, engineering or power generation projects.

• Knowledge of heavy mechanical installation, PTW and LOTO procedures.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to site safety.
