This IT Project Manager role is based in Cardiff with a salary of £32,000 per annum plus excellent benefits and career progression. You will take end-to-end responsibility for national IT and data infrastructure rollouts, building and managing detailed project plans, schedules, trackers, reporting and governance controls. The position involves managing milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, issues and change throughout the project lifecycle, and coordinating activity across geographically dispersed sites. You will oversee structured cabling and associated infrastructure installations, including Cat6 and Cat6A, containment and related technologies, while building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our client's busy Project Services division. Are client needs someone who thrives on bringing complex projects together - coordinating people, suppliers, logistics and technical delivery to achieve successful results across multiple locations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in national, multi-site IT or data infrastructure projects, who enjoys working at pace, solving problems and keeping everyone moving towards the same goal.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Taking end-to-end responsibility for national IT and data infrastructure rollouts.
- Building and managing detailed project plans, schedules, trackers, reporting and governance controls.
- Managing milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, issues and change throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinating activity across geographically dispersed sites, ensuring everything is in place for successful delivery.
- Overseeing structured cabling and associated infrastructure installations, including Cat6 and Cat6A, containment and related technologies.
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Coordinating engineers, subcontractors, supply-chain partners, equipment and logistics.
- Managing budgets, forecasts, scope, risks, documentation and change to keep delivery predictable and controlled.
- Ensuring quality, health and safety and technical standards are maintained.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong project management experience within national, multi-site IT or data infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, risk, dependencies and change.
- A good understanding of the practical challenges involved in delivering projects.
- Experience using tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheet or similar project management and reporting systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- A practical understanding of structured cabling, including Cat6/Cat6A installations, containment, testing and quality assurance.
It would be great if you also have:
- PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner, or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation, or an equivalent service-management qualification.
