Lead Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)

This role is for a Lead Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) based in Manchester, with a salary of £55,000 to £70,000 per annum. The successful candidate will act as second-in-command within the electrical team, working closely with senior leadership to drive technical direction, standards and performance. Responsibilities include leading and developing the electrical engineering team, taking ownership of complex electrical design projects, and mentoring engineers to perform at their best. The role also involves working closely with clients and project teams, supporting the growth of the electrical team and workload, and stepping up to lead when senior management are absent.

We're looking for a confident, technically strong Lead Electrical Engineer who isn't afraid to speak up, challenge decisions and take control when the team needs direction.
You'll be the second-in-command within the electrical team - working closely with the senior leadership team and helping drive the technical direction, standards and performance of the group.

We're looking for someone who can command a room without needing to shout - someone with the technical credibility and personality to get engineers moving in the same direction.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? You'll be an experienced Senior / Principal / Lead Electrical Engineer with a strong building-services background.
You don't have to be the loudest person in the office.
But you do need a voice.
You need to be comfortable challenging people, making decisions, giving direction and taking responsibility when things get difficult.
