About this role
We’re recruiting for an experienced Lead Solar PV Installer to join an established UK contractor specialising in large commercial rooftop Solar PV installations. Based in Burnley, the role involves installing electrical systems on commercial rooftop projects, including DC cable stringing, installation and testing, cable containment, trays, trunking and inverter frameworks, electrical connections and basic system commissioning. You will read technical drawings, set out PV systems, work with different roof types and mounting systems, and ensure high standards of health, safety and installation quality. The salary is £40,000 to £50,000 per annum.

Travel: Nationwide projects, staying away 3 to 5 days per week

What You'll Be Doing
- Installing electrical systems on commercial rooftop Solar PV projects.
- DC cable stringing, installation & testing.
- Installing cable containment, trays, trunking & inverter frameworks.
- Electrical connections & basic system commissioning.
- Reading technical drawings & setting out PV systems.
- Working with different roof types & mounting systems.
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety & installation quality.

What You'll Need
- Previous commercial rooftop Solar PV installation experience.
- Strong understanding of DC cabling, containment & electrical connections.
- Knowledge of roof types & PV mounting systems.
- Ability to read drawings & work independently.
- CSCS Card or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Willingness to travel & stay away 3 to 5 days per week.
