Maintenance Engineer

This Maintenance Engineer role is based in Livingston, offering £50,000 to £51,000 per annum plus bonus and additional benefits. The successful candidate will carry out repairs, maintenance work and routine testing on all plant machinery and equipment, and complete planned maintenance work orders. They will also ensure auditable paperwork is completed and filed correctly, and take a proactive approach to maintenance, assisting in the development of preventative maintenance mechanisms. Applicants must hold a recognised apprenticeship in an electrical or mechanical discipline, and be flexible to a 4 on 4 off nightshift and dayshift rota.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out repairs, maintenance work and routine testing to all plant machinery and equipment
• Completing planned maintenance work orders
• Ensuring all auditable paper work is completed and filed correctly
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance and assist in the development of preventative maintenance mechanisms
• Understand and support KPI improvements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical discipline
• This is an electrical biased role, therefore experience with PLCs and automation systems is highly desirable
• Experience of maintenance engineering gained in the manufacturing sector
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics would be desirable
