Mechanical Design Engineer

This is a full-time, permanent Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Chinnor, offering £45,000 to £55,000 per annum. Working within a regulated, specialist manufacturing environment, the successful candidate will take projects from concept through design, development and production. Key responsibilities include 3D CAD design and development, producing detailed drawings, BOMs and engineering documentation, and supporting design for manufacture and assembly. The role also involves engineering change and configuration control, CNC and manufacturing data, prototype testing and validation, NPI and design reviews, and DFMEA and design risk management, working closely with Manufacturing, Quality and customers.

What you'll be doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer

What we're looking for in a Mechanical Design Engineer

• Experienced Mechanical/Design Engineer

• Strong 3D CAD experience - SolidWorks, Solid Edge, CATIA or similar

• Experience with manufacturing/CNC processes

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings & BOMs

• Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience

• Ideally from aerospace, advanced manufacturing, composites or another regulated environment
