About this role
This is a permanent MIG Welder role in Irlam, Greater Manchester, paying £40,185 per annum. Working Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, 40 hours per week, the successful candidate will produce high-quality structural steel welds and work from engineering drawings, fabrication documentation and Welding Procedure Specifications. Duties also include welding, grinding, dressing and finishing. Applicants should be fully qualified or time-served Welders with structural steel, bridge or heavy engineering experience, able to read and interpret engineering drawings and WPS, and demonstrate a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail. A City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent welding qualification is preferred.

The Role
- Produce high-quality structural steel welds
- Work from engineering drawings, fabrication documentation and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Carry out welding, grinding, dressing and finishing
About You
- Fully qualified / time-served Welder
- Experience within structural steel, bridge or heavy engineering
- Strong structural steel welding experience
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and WPS
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent welding/fabrication qualification preferred.
