Multi Skilled Engineer

This is a permanent days-shift Multi Skilled Engineer role in Leeds with a leading food manufacturer operating sites across the UK, paying £51,000 per annum on a Panama shift pattern. You will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Responsibilities include carrying out planned preventative maintenance on production equipment, responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production, and repairing and maintaining the mechanical and electrical elements of the plant. You will also fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues and support the development and improvement of planned maintenance systems.

Our leading food manufacturer with sites situated across the UK is looking for an Multi Skilled engineer to join there team.-As a Multi Skilled Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on production equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
• Repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical elements of the plant
• Fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues
• Support the development and improvement of planned maintenance systems
• Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues

Ideal Candidate:

• Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background
• Experience working within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and drives preferred but not essential
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
