About this role

This role is for an NEC Project Manager based in Chingford, working with a local authority in East London on a six-month contract, possibly extendable, at a rate of £550 a day (Umbrella). The postholder will take end-to-end ownership of project delivery across multiple active NEC system modules, from initiation through to go-live, managing cross-module dependencies, technical integration points and critical paths. Duties include implementing change control processes, maintaining RAIDD logs, and overseeing User Acceptance Testing, operational readiness checks and formal sign-offs. Applicants need at least two years in a project management role within a local authority or similar organisation, plus direct experience delivering NEC systems.

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in East London, are looking for an experienced NEC Project Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing operations.

Position:
NEC Project Manager
Location: East London
Rate: £550 a day (Umbrella)
Contract: 6 months (Possible Extension)

Duties:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of project delivery across multiple active NEC system modules from initiation through to go-live.
  • Manage cross-module dependencies, technical integration points, and critical paths to ensure synchronised deployment.
  • Implement robust change control processes to manage scope changes and their impact across individual modules.
  • Maintain active RAIDD logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions) to identify and mitigate roadblocks early.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), operational readiness checks, and formal sign-offs across each module prior to release.
Job Requirements:
  • At least 2 years within a Project Management role in a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • Demonstrated direct experience managing and delivering NEC systems previously.
  • A proven track record of owning and executing multiple concurrent system modules in complex environments.
  • Educated to degree level and a PRINCE2 certification or equivalent.
