Payroll Advisor

This Payroll Advisor role sits within a large services organisation in Newcastle upon Tyne, working in a financial shared service environment under the Global Payroll lead and Deputy Payroll manager. The position involves high volume payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and acting as first line for queries while managing day to day issues. Candidates should have in depth UK payroll experience including reconciliation, strong Excel skills, and a good working knowledge of current payroll legislation. The salary is £30,000 to £32,000 per annum. Hybrid working is available, alongside 25 days plus banks and profit share twice a year.

Our client is a large services based in Newcastle, as part of a friendly team, you will be responsible for processing payroll as part of large team working as part of a financial shared service environment under the Global Payroll lead and Deputy Payroll manager.

Responsibilities

• High volume payroll Processing
• Ensuring timely and accurate payments
• First line for queries as well as managing day to day issues that arise
• Strong excel skills
• Pervious exposure to payroll
• Ability to deal with a fast paced working environment

Requirements

• In depth UK payroll experience including reconciliation
• International experience advantageous but not essential
• Advantage having Shared service experience, multi site or multi client experience
• Good working knowledge of current payroll legislation
• The ability to work flexibly according to the changing needs of a busy office
• Cloudpay or Oracle system knowledge advantageous
