Production Operative

This is a full-time Production Operative role based in Castle Donington (DE74), working Monday to Friday on day shifts, with an immediate start and a rate of £12.71 per hour. You will assemble and prepare timber products for packaging and distribution, inspect products against quality control standards, pack commercial goods, and carry out stock counting to maintain accurate inventory levels. You will also assist with general production and stockroom organisation and adhere to all health and safety regulations. Experience working with timber, joinery and woodworking is essential, along with proficient use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assembling and preparing timber products for packaging and distribution.
• Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
• Packing commercial goods
• Conducting stock counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Assisting with general production and stockroom organization.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• A strong work ethic and good eye for detail
• Experience in working with timber, joinery & woodworking (ESSENTIAL)
• Proficient usage of hand & power tools
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in assembly & product handling.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to process improvements.

Day-to-Day

• Begin with a team meeting to review the day's priorities and safety guidelines.
• Assemble manufactured products, ensuring they meet packaging requirements.
• Quality checking for accuracy.
• Inspect products for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Organize stock for shipment or storage in a neat, stable configuration.
• Perform a stock count and log accurate inventory records in collaboration with the team.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace throughout your shift, including tidying up pallets, boxes, and other materials.

The shift times are 07:30-16:00 Monday to Friday.

The basic pay is £12.71/h.
