PSV Mechanic / Bus Mechanic

AB Solution Recruitment is seeking an experienced PSV Mechanic / Bus Mechanic to join our client's team in Bolton. The successful candidate will inspect, maintain, service and repair buses to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Key duties include carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on buses and coaches, diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, and inspecting engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension and steering systems. Applicants should have previous experience as a PSV Mechanic, Bus Mechanic or HGV Mechanic, strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle mechanical systems, and good fault-finding skills. The rate is £18 to £24 per hour.

AB Solution Recruitment is looking for an experienced PSV Mechanic / Bus Mechanic to join our client's team in Manchester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, servicing and repairing buses to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, good fault-finding skills and experience working on passenger service vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on buses and coaches.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.

• Inspect engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension and steering systems.

• Carry out preventative maintenance and safety inspections.

• Identify faults and complete repairs efficiently.

• Carry out vehicle inspections in line with safety requirements.

• Complete maintenance records and job sheets accurately.

• Ensure all work meets relevant health and safety standards.

• Work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

• Requirements

• Previous experience as a PSV Mechanic, Bus Mechanic or HGV Mechanic.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle mechanical systems.

• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

• Relevant mechanical qualifications are desirable.

• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential, depending on the role
