Recycling Operative

This Recycling Operative role in Maidstone covers full site operations at a recycling and energy process plant. You will operate and monitor plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient and compliant production, carrying out routine inspections, start-ups, shutdowns and plant changeovers in line with operating procedures. The position requires experience in a recycling, waste, renewable energy or industrial process industry, along with experience operating plant machinery such as telehandlers, forklifts or loading shovels. You will need the ability to conduct machinery inspections and schedule maintenance, and to be computer literate.

DAY SHIFT-

My client, a leading Waste & Recycling company are looking for a Recycling Operative to join the team.

Recycling Operative - Responsibilities:

• Full site operations of a recycling / energy process plant.
• Operating and monitoring plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production process.
• Carrying out routine inspections, start-ups, shutdowns, and plant changeovers in line with operating procedures.
• Ensuring the plant operates within defined parameters while fully complying with HSE legislation, site rules, and company policies.
• Supporting the permit-to-work system, including isolations, lock-off/tag-out, and safe systems of work.
• Responding effectively to plant faults, alarms, and abnormal operating conditions to minimise downtime.

Recycling Operative - Skills and Attributes

• Experience in a recycling, waste, renewable energy, industrial process industry.
• Experience operating plant machinery - telehandlers, forklifts, loading shovels etc .
• Ability to conduct machinery inspections and schedule maintenance
• Computer literate
