Senior Data Analyst/ Data Engineer

This is a six-month contract, with extension likely, for a Senior Data Analyst/Data Engineer based in Manchester, working two days in the office. Joining the Customer and Product Analytics team of a leading global digital platform in the travel and mobility space, you will analyse large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights, and design and deliver scalable reporting, dashboards and data solutions. You will conduct A/B testing and experimentation to evaluate product and feature performance, build and maintain high-quality datasets for advanced analytics, and translate technical findings into clear, business-focused insights. The role also involves supporting and mentoring junior analysts. The pay rate is £50 to £66 per hour.

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading global digital platform in the travel and mobility space, looking for a Data Analyst to join their Customer & Product Analytics team.

This role sits within a fast-growing business unit focused on enhancing end-to-end travel experiences, including areas such as ride-hailing, rail, and airport transfers. You will play a key role in using data to improve customer journeys and influence product decisions at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

• Analyse large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights
• Design and deliver scalable reporting, dashboards, and data solutions
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders
• Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to evaluate product and feature performance
• Build and maintain high-quality datasets for advanced analytics
• Translate technical findings into clear, business-focused insights
• Support and mentor junior analysts within the team

What We're Looking For

• Experimentation Expertise: Strong, demonstrable experience running A/B testing and causal inference in a product-focused environment.

• Core Technical Stack: Proficiency with SQL, Python / PySpark, and Snowflake.

• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation
• Experience with Snowflake
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice to Have

• Experience in product-led, e-commerce, or customer-centric environments
