Senior DevOps Engineer (DV)

This role is for a DV Cleared DevOps Engineer to join a growing National Security technology organisation in Cheltenham, delivering critical solutions that support some of the UK's most important defence and government programmes. You will join a highly capable engineering team responsible for building, automating and supporting secure cloud and on-premise environments. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, developing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, Ansible and similar technologies, managing Linux-based infrastructure, and supporting AWS, Azure or GCP environments. You will also deploy and support containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes, implement monitoring, alerting and observability solutions, and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues. Active DV clearance (eDV or UKIC DV) is required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Developing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, Ansible and similar technologies
• Managing Linux-based infrastructure
• Supporting AWS, Azure or GCP environments
• Automating deployment and operational processes
• Deploying and supporting containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implementing monitoring, alerting and observability solutions
• Troubleshooting infrastructure and deployment issues
• Improving reliability, scalability and security across engineering platforms

What We're Looking For

• Active DV Clearance (eDV or UKIC DV)
• Commercial DevOps, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Terraform, Ansible or similar IaC tools
• Docker and Kubernetes
• AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Understanding of networking and security principles
• Strong Git knowledge
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities
