This Senior Fire Engineer role is based in London with an industry-leading fire safety consultancy, offering a salary of £60,000 to £75,000 per annum. The successful candidate will lead and manage medium to large-scale fire engineering projects, develop fire strategies and provide technical fire safety advice. Responsibilities also include delivering fire engineering design and construction-stage assurance services, managing client relationships and providing specialist technical guidance, and mentoring Graduate Engineers. The consultancy delivers specialist fire engineering solutions on challenging, high-profile projects within the built environment, working across fire engineering, facades and structural disciplines.

An industry-leading fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join their growing London team. The successful Senior Fire Engineer will have the opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers and work alongside highly experienced professionals across fire engineering, facades and structural disciplines.

The Senior Fire Engineer's Role

The Senior Fire Engineer will take responsibility for delivering fire engineering consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects, from initial design through to construction.

• Leading and managing medium to large-scale fire engineering projects

• Developing fire strategies and providing technical fire safety advice

• Delivering fire engineering design and construction-stage assurance services

• Managing client relationships and providing specialist technical guidance

• Mentoring Graduate Engineers and supporting their professional development

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across complex projects

• Supporting business development and maintaining technical excellence

The Senior Fire Engineer

The ideal Senior Fire Engineer will have:

• An Engineering Council-accredited BEng, MEng or MSc

• Associate membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)

• A clear pathway towards Chartered Engineer status

• Experience delivering complex fire engineering projects

• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and engineering principles

• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers

• Excellent communication, project management and client-facing skills

• CFD modelling experience (desirable)
