Senior Mechanical Estimator

This is a Senior Mechanical Estimator role based in Taunton, joining an established work-winning team and providing accurate, commercially competitive pricing across major projects within the MOD, MOJ, NHS, industrial and commercial sectors. Responsibilities include preparing estimates and tenders for Mechanical projects, reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation, identifying risks, opportunities and potential cost savings, and supporting bids from initial enquiry through to submission. You will manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively and work closely with the work-winning, engineering and commercial teams. The salary is £55,000 to £75,000 per annum, plus car allowance and excellent benefits.

Mechanical Estimator - Intermediate to Senior

Build Recruitment are working with a leading engineering business who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator, from Intermediate through to Senior level.

You'll join an established work-winning team, providing accurate and commercially competitive pricing across a range of major projects within MOD, MOJ, NHS, industrial and commercial sectors.

The Role

• Prepare estimates and tenders for Mechanical projects.

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

• Work closely with the work-winning, engineering and commercial teams.

• Identify risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.

• Support bids from initial enquiry through to submission.

• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.

About You

• Previous experience within Mechanical Estimating.

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical building services.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Good Excel and IT skills.

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

• Experience with major projects would be advantageous.

What's on offer: £50,000-£75,000 depending on experience, car allowance on top, plus remote working. The role can be based across the South West, with Bristol as the office base.
