Job Description

Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare construction projects? This is an excellent opportunity to join an established construction consultancy delivering a varied portfolio of projects across the built environment.
We are looking for a confident, client-facing Project Manager who can take ownership of complex healthcare schemes, lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects successfully from inception through to completion.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing healthcare projects, building strong client relationships and ensuring schemes are delivered to the required programme, budget and quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of healthcare construction projects from initial feasibility and briefing through design, procurement, construction and handover.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear advice and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Managing multidisciplinary consultant teams, contractors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitoring project programmes, budgets, risks and quality, identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Overseeing procurement, tender processes and contract administration where required.
  • Preparing project reports, progress updates and recommendations for clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinating design development and ensuring project requirements are met, including relevant healthcare standards and operational considerations.
  • Supporting business development activities and contributing to the growth of the healthcare project management offering.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members, helping to develop capability across the wider team.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within a construction consultancy.
  • A strong track record delivering healthcare construction projects, ideally within live or operational healthcare environments.
  • Experience managing projects through multiple RIBA stages, from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery, procurement, contract administration, programme and cost control.
  • Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • A proactive, commercially aware approach, with the confidence to take ownership of projects and resolve challenges.
  • Relevant construction or project management qualifications; professional accreditation such as MAPM, MRICS or MCIOB would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

You will join a consultancy environment where you can take responsibility for meaningful projects, develop long-term client relationships and contribute to the delivery of important healthcare facilities.
The role would suit an ambitious Project Manager ready to operate at Senior Project Manager level, or an established Senior Project Manager looking for their next challenge.
