Site Engineer

This is a long-term contract for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major construction project in Clapham Common, South West London, lasting over 12 months. The role centres on reinforced concrete frame construction, including foundations, slabs, columns and walls. Responsibilities include setting out and surveying works in accordance with drawings and specifications, checking drawings, levels, dimensions and tolerances, and liaising with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team. You will maintain quality control and ensure health and safety standards are followed. The rate is £300 - £350 per day.

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a long-term construction project in South West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer with strong reinforced concrete (RC) frame experience to secure over 12 months of work on a major project.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works in accordance with drawings and specifications.

• Working on reinforced concrete frame construction, including foundations, slabs, columns and walls.

• Ensuring works are completed accurately and in line with project requirements.

• Checking drawings, levels, dimensions and tolerances.

• Liaising with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team.

• Maintaining quality control and ensuring health and safety standards are followed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within the UK construction industry.

• Strong, proven experience working on RC frame projects.

• Competent in setting out, surveying and interpreting construction drawings.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
