Site Manager

This is a freelance Site Manager role based in Stratford, London, offering £300 to £320 per day. Working with an established construction and fit-out contractor, the successful candidate will manage the day-to-day running of site operations across commercial, retail and hospitality projects. Key responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and trades, monitoring progress against programme, and resolving site issues. The role also involves maintaining health and safety and quality standards through inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections, managing site logistics and deliveries, and liaising with Project Managers, clients and consultants. Accurate site records and progress reports are required.

Freelance Site Manager - Fit Out & Refurbishment

Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to work with an established construction and fit-out contractor delivering projects across the commercial, retail and hospitality sectors.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site operations
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and trades
• Monitor progress against programme and resolve site issues
• Ensure high standards of health & safety and quality are maintained
• Carry out inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections
• Manage site logistics, deliveries and welfare
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
• Liaise with Project Managers, clients, consultants and other stakeholders
• Coordinate daily and weekly works
• Assist with project handover and close-out

Requirements

• Proven Site Manager experience within fit-out, refurbishment, retail, hospitality or commercial projects
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Asbestos Awareness
• Fire Marshal
• PASMA
• Strong subcontractor and trades management experience
• Good understanding of construction programmes, drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Experience with Temporary Works, IPAF or an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management would be advantageous.
