Software Engineer (C/C+)

This is a Software Engineer (C/C++) role based in Stevenage, offered on a hybrid basis with two days per week in the office. The position involves taking ownership of backend development, contributing to architecture decisions, and ensuring systems remain performant and maintainable. You will work closely with product stakeholders and help deliver new features from concept through to deployment. The Role:

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance backend systems
• Translate high-level requirements into robust technical solutions
• Contribute to system architecture and scalability improvements
• Deliver quality software within agreed timelines
• Collaborate closely with product and cross-functional teams

The Person:

• Strong experience with C/C++ development and object-oriented design
• Background in Linux environments using GNU tools (gcc, gdb)
• Experience with network and multithreaded programming
• Proven ability to mentor or support other engineers
