Specialised SEND Tutor

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Specialised SEND Tutor in Liverpool to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner. The role involves delivering engaging tuition tailored to individual needs, adapting lesson plans, resources and teaching methods, and supporting academic progress and re-engagement with education. The tutor will build confidence, motivation and positive learning habits, maintain a calm and supportive learning environment, and monitor progress and provide feedback where required. Experience working with children or young people and supporting learners with SEND is required, alongside a patient, adaptable approach and strong communication skills. The rate is £25 to £30 per hour.

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tutor or teacher who is confident adapting lessons to suit individual needs and can build a positive, supportive relationship with a learner who may have experienced barriers to education.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor progress and provide feedback where required

Requirements
Experience working with children or young people
Experience supporting learners with SEND
Patient, adaptable and encouraging approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Relevant teaching/tutoring experience or qualification desirable
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Right to Work in the UK
Two professional child-related references
