Switchgear Engineer (Progression to Applications Engineer)

This role is for a Switchgear Engineer based in Mansfield, with a clear progression route into an Applications Engineer position. The salary is £43,000 to £48,000 per annum, with £60,000 OTE, plus training and private healthcare. The successful candidate will work with internal teams and external clients to understand technical requirements and advise on suitable solutions. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation of quotations and estimates, producing and amending drawings using AutoCAD, assisting with FATs and managing BOMs. This is an off-the-tools, client-facing technical role suited to someone with Switchgear knowledge gained hands-on or through design.

Are you an aspiring Applications Engineer who has knowledge of Switchgear, either hands-on or design, looking to take a step up into a varied and technically challenging off-the-tools role where you will become a client facing technical expert?

The Role:

• Act as point of contact between internal teams and external clients
• Prepare quotes and estimate; manage BOMs
• Produce and amend drawings in AutoCAD
• Assist with FAT's and entertain clients
• 5 hours a week, flexible hours, optional overtime

• Aspiring Applications Engineer
• Switchgear background (either hands-on, design or other)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
