This Teaching Assistant role in Sunderland involves supporting secondary school students aged 11 to 19 across KS3, KS4 and KS5 settings. Working on behalf of schools across Sunderland, the position requires assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, providing tailored academic and pastoral support on a 1:1 basis, and supporting small groups of typically three to five pupils. Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school, education, childcare, youth work or support-based setting is desirable.
• Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching & Learning, childcare or related qualification (preferred but not essential).
• Confident supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, positive and proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to process a new application.
• Professional child-related or care-related references covering the last two years.
