Teaching Assistant

This is a full-time, long-term temporary Teaching Assistant role in Hengoed, starting immediately, with a daily rate of £85.50 to £95.00. Working within a school's Learning Resource Base, the successful candidate will support pupils with Autism, ASD, complex needs and challenging behaviour, helping them access learning and develop their independence. The position requires experience supporting children or young people, confidence in managing challenging behaviour, and a patient, resilient approach. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment with dedicated provision for pupils with additional learning needs.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work within the Learning Resource Base, supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, complex needs and challenging behaviour while helping them access learning and develop their independence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

- Experience supporting children or young people with ALN
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs
- Experience managing challenging behaviour in an education or care setting
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A willingness to work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
