About this role

This is a full-time, temporary to permanent Teaching Assistant role in Watford, starting as soon as possible within a secondary education setting. You will support students across KS3 and KS4, providing 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom, and working with students with SEN and additional learning needs. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Watford, supporting students across KS3 and KS4.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a role with the potential to become permanent.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide effective classroom support and help pupils achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom
  • Supporting students across KS3 and KS4
  • Working with students with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Delivering and supporting targeted intervention programmes
  • Helping students remain engaged and focused on their learning
  • Supporting teachers with the day-to-day management of the classroom
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Encouraging students' confidence, independence and academic progress
