Temporary Customer Service Advisor

This is a temporary Customer Service Advisor role based in Haywards Heath, offering £15.63 per hour. The position runs for two months, working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, with hybrid working and two days per week in the office. You must be a driver to get to this location. Key responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for supporters by phone, email and letter, handling donations and enquiries promptly, and supporting people sensitively on emotional matters such as legacies and in memory giving.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join a well-known charities on a temporary basis, starting at the end of October for 2 months.

The role is busy and people-focused and requires someone who enjoys speaking to customers and supporters, communicates with care and builds lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities:

• Acting as the first point of contact for supporters by phone, email and letter
• Handling donations and enquiries promptly, aiming to resolve queries first time
• Supporting people sensitively on emotional matters, including legacies and in memory giving
• Making outbound calls to develop and retain supporter relationships
• Identifying opportunities such as Gift Aid and passing on high-value prospects

About you:

• Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre role is desirable [amend as needed]
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident using IT systems and databases
• You must be a driver
• The empathy and sensitivity to handle emotional conversations
