Vehicle Technician

This Vehicle Technician role is based in Winchester for a well-established automotive dealer group, offering a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience. Working Monday to Friday full time, the successful candidate will carry out vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance, and diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults. Additional duties include using diagnostic equipment and technical support systems, following manufacturer repair procedures, and completing accurate electronic job cards and technical reports. Our client, a successful and well-established automotive dealer group are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team.

The Role

• As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
• Using diagnostic equipment and technical support systems.
• Following manufacturer repair procedures and workshop processes.
• Completing accurate electronic job cards and technical reports.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About You

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• A full UK driving licence.
• MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
