Vehicle Technician

This Vehicle Technician role is based in Wisborough Green, working with a reputable dealership in Billingshurst, West Sussex. The position offers a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, with Monday to Friday hours and no weekend working. Duties include carrying out vehicle repairs and servicing on VAG models, and diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical and electronic faults. The successful candidate will also perform software updates and vehicle reprogramming, support and mentor junior Vehicle Technicians, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards within an organised workshop environment.

As a Vehicle Technician, your duties will include:

• Carrying out vehicle repairs and servicing on VAG models
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
• Performing software updates and vehicle reprogramming as required
• Supporting and mentoring junior Vehicle Technicians within the team
• Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
• Maintaining an organised, clean, and professional workshop environment
• Staying informed on the latest technical updates relevant to VAG vehicles

The ideal Vehicle Technician for this role will possess:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician specialising in VAG models
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Ability to work independently and efficiently on diagnostics and repairs
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience with VAG diagnostic tools such as ODIS is advantageous but not essential
• A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship
