Warehouse Operative, Crawley

This is a warehouse operative role based in Manor Royal, Crawley, paying £12.71 per hour. The successful candidate will load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently, check incoming goods against delivery notes, and report any damage, shortages or discrepancies. Additional duties include picking customer or production orders accurately using paperwork or handheld scanners, packing, labelling and preparing goods for dispatch, and completing stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records. The role requires following warehouse procedures and health and safety regulations, using equipment such as pump trucks or pallet trucks where trained, and working as part of a team to achieve productivity, accuracy and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Check incoming goods against delivery notes and report any damage, shortages or discrepancies.
  
  
• Store products correctly and keep stock areas organised.
  
  
• Pick customer or production orders accurately using paperwork or handheld scanners.
  
  
• Pack, label and prepare goods for dispatch.
  
  
• Load completed orders onto delivery vehicles.
  
  
• Complete stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
  
  
• Follow warehouse procedures and health and safety regulations.
  
  
• Use warehouse equipment such as pump trucks or pallet trucks, where trained.
  
  
• Keep the warehouse, work areas and equipment clean and tidy.
  
  
• Work as part of a team to achieve productivity, accuracy and service targets.
  
  
• Report any issues, damaged goods or equipment faults to the supervisor.
