Warehouse Operative

This is a full-time, temporary Warehouse Operative role based on the outskirts of Exeter, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no weekend working. Pay is £12.71 to £12.94 per hour. Duties include assisting with the loading and unloading of daily deliveries, accurately processing and logging orders using in-house systems, picking orders with a handheld scanner, and wrapping and checking orders prior to labelling and dispatch. You will also assist with stock control and inventory management and help keep the warehouse clean, tidy and safe. Previous warehouse experience is essential.

Key Duties

• Assisting with the loading and unloading of daily deliveries.
• Accurately processing and logging orders using in-house systems.
• Picking orders using a handheld scanner.
• Wrapping and checking orders prior to labelling and dispatch.
• Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
• Cleaning and tidying the warehouse daily to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is essential, ideally gained within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Good IT skills with the ability to accurately process orders and update internal warehouse management systems.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties.
• Effective time management.
