Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

This is a temp-to-perm warehouse role in Maidstone, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with an immediate start and pay of £13.50 per hour. As a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver, you will operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload and move stock safely, pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch, and receive, check and store deliveries accurately. You will also assist with stock counts and inventory control, complete warehouse documentation and paperwork accurately, and maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

The Role

As a key member of the warehouse team, you'll be responsible for ensuring goods are moved, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently while helping to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift to load, unload and move stock safely around the warehouse
• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
• Receiving, checking and storing deliveries accurately
• Assisting with stock counts and inventory control
• Ensuring goods are handled and stored correctly to avoid damage
• Completing warehouse documentation and paperwork accurately
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Working closely with colleagues to meet daily targets and deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Previous experience operating a forklift within a warehouse environment
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Reliable and hardworking with excellent timekeeping
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative when required
