Reporting to the UK Managing Director, as our Area Sales Manager, you will take ownership of a territory with an established customer base and plenty of scope for further development. Historically a strong-performing region for the business, the territory has not had the attention it needs over the last 12-18 months, creating an excellent opportunity for a natural salesperson to build relationships, develop existing accounts and win new business.

You will inherit existing customers and active opportunities, including recently secured and developing NHS projects, while having the autonomy to identify and develop your own pipeline. Selling a broad portfolio of medical equipment, you will work with NHS and private hospitals across departments including Aandamp;E, Renal, Oncology, Day Surgery and Patient Handling.

As our Area Sales Manager, you will:
andmiddot; Develop new business across the territory, working towards an initial annual sales target of approximately andpound;200,000- andpound;250,000
andmiddot; Identify new customers, projects and opportunities across NHS and private healthcare.
andmiddot; Develop the existing customer base alongside building a strong new-business pipeline.
andmiddot; By delivering engaging product demonstrations and presentations you will build relationships with Procurement, EBME, Manual Handling, Estates andamp; Facilities, nursing teams and clinical departments.
andmiddot; Manage opportunities and negotiate contracts through complex, multi-stakeholder NHS procurement processes with varied sales cycles. andnbsp;

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Area Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Medical Sales Representative - Medical Equipment

We are looking for a confident and proactive salesperson who enjoys developing business rather than simply maintaining existing accounts.
andnbsp;
Experience selling medical devices or capital equipment into hospitals would be a distinct advantage, particularly within areas such as Renal, Day Surgery, Chemotherapy/Oncology, Aandamp;E, Manual Handling, Estates andamp; Facilities or NHS Procurement. An existing network of healthcare contacts across South West England or Wales would also be highly beneficial.

andmiddot; Experience managing consultative sales processes involving multiple decision makers.
andmiddot; Strong presentation and product demonstration skills.
andmiddot; Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to establish credibility with healthcare professionals.
andmiddot; Commercial awareness and experience negotiating contracts and commercial terms.
andmiddot; The autonomy and self-motivation required to manage a substantial field-based territory.
andmiddot; The resilience and persistence to develop opportunities that can have varied sales cycles.
A full UK Driving Licence and valid Passport.
