Health and Safety Advisor - HS2

Location: Birmingham

Rate: andpound;500 per day

Contract: 6 months

IR35: Inside IR35, via umbrella

Safety Talent are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to support a major HS2 project in Birmingham.

This is a site-based contract role working within a major civils environment. You will support day-to-day health and safety activity across the project, working closely with site teams, contractors and the wider HSEQ function.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out site inspections and compliance checks
• Reviewing and updating RAMS
• Supporting task briefings and site safety activity
• Monitoring plant and labour compliance
• Identifying and closing out health and safety actions
• Supporting incident investigations where required
• Assisting with audit preparation and wider HSEQ reviews
• Working with site teams to maintain project and client standards

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong background in construction, major civils or infrastructure.

Experience on HS2, tunnelling or other large-scale infrastructure projects would be advantageous, but is not essential if you have relevant experience working within complex, high-risk construction environments.

You will need to be comfortable working on site, communicating with contractors and challenging standards where required.
