Job Description
About the Role
We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers to work in care and support settings across Wrexham (LL11 and LL14).
Job Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to children and young people.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
- Support children with emotional, behavioural and complex needs.
- Support children who may display challenging or aggressive behaviour.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Use appropriate techniques to manage challenging behaviour safely.
- Monitor and report changes in the child's wellbeing or behaviour.
- Maintain accurate care records.
- Promote the safety, dignity and wellbeing of children at all times.
- Work effectively with the wider care and support team.
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, aggression or complex needs is required.
- Physical Intervention Training is essential.
- Accepted training certificates: MAPA, CPI, NPI, Team-Teach or PRICE.
- Must have relevant challenging behaviour / aggression management or physical intervention training.
- Must be registered with Social Care Wales.
- Must have a valid Enhanced DBS.
- Good communication skills and a caring, professional attitude.
