Location: Barnsley
Salary: andpound;46,467 andndash; andpound;54,500 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday | Rotating shiftsandnbsp;Monday to Friday andndash; 7:00am andndash; 3:30pm /andnbsp;Monday to Friday andndash; 12:00pm andndash; 8:30pm
1 in 3 Saturday mornings | Overtime available at 1.5x

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join the team in Barnsley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday role, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to work on a varied fleet of trailers, units and plant within a fleet environment.

The Role

• As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of a varied fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment.
• You'll have the opportunity to work across HGV units, trailers and plant
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HGVs, trailers and plant
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Carrying out routine servicing and inspections
• Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Carrying out safety inspections and defect rectification
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
• Working on braking, suspension, steering and other vehicle systems
• Carrying out maintenance and repairs on a varied fleet of trailers and units
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Completing relevant maintenance and inspection documentation accurately

About You

• Has previous experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles, trailers or plant
• Has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Is reliable, professional and safety-conscious
