Junior Engineering Technician

Location:andnbsp;Haverhill
Salary: andpound;26,000p.a. - andpound;28,000p.a.
Hours: Monday to Thursday, hours will be between 06:00andndash;16:00
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, based in Haverhill, are seeking aandnbsp;proactive Juniorandnbsp;Engineering Technician to join their Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hands-on individual with an engineering background to develop their skills within a busy production environment.

Duties for the Junior Engineering Technician will include:

• Maintaining a constant presence within the production environmentandnbsp;
• Liaising with Line Supervisors to identify and rectify minor issues on production lines
• Maintaining high standards of health andamp; safety at all times
• Monitoring high-priority production lines to ensure production efficiencies are achieved
• Acting as the initial engineering response to breakdownsandnbsp;
• Carrying out low-level maintenance tasksandnbsp;
• Carrying out and assisting with production line changeovers as required
• Providing recommendations to Engineering staff for production line improvements
• Assisting Engineering staff with higher-level engineering tasks
• Assisting the Engineering team with housekeeping duties within the workshop and stores areas.

An ideal candidate for the Junior Engineering Technician will have:

• An engineering aptitude with a practical and hands-on approach
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Previous experience as a Fitter, Semi-Skilled Operator, Machine Setter or similar
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
• A good understanding of FMCG, food hygiene and food safety requirements.
