Materials Testing Technician

Field-based across South Yorkshire | Doncaster operation

Permanent | Typically earnings of c.andpound;40k DOE including paid overtime andamp; allowances.

We are recruiting an experienced Materials Testing Technician / Site Technician to carry out soils, concrete, aggregate and asphalt testing across construction sites throughout South Yorkshire.

Our client is growing its established Doncaster-based team and is looking to recruit a proven, site-experienced technician to support a strong and growing pipeline of construction and infrastructure projects across South Yorkshire and surrounding regions.

Weand#39;re specifically looking for an experienced site-based Materials Testing Technician who is confident working independently on live construction projects.

The role:

The Construction materials testing technician, carries out on-site sampling and in-situ testing of construction materials in accordance with British and European Standards, working independently on live sites while representing the business professionally.

Typical duties include:

On-site sampling and in-situ testing of soils, asphalt, concrete and aggregates.

Liaising directly with site managers, engineers and clients.

Accurate recording, checking and reporting of test data.

Working to quality systems and test procedures.

Please apply if:

You have proven site experience in construction materials testing; soils, asphalt, concrete or ground investigations.

You are confident working independently on live construction sites.

Have a full UK driving licence, strong client-facing communication skills.

High attention to detail and quality standards.

Benefits of the construction materials technician include:

Base salary up to andpound;35,000 plus an estimated andpound;5k in overtime and allowances.

Overtime paid after 40 hours with additional payments for weekend work and overnight stays

Fewer overnight stays andndash; typically once every month

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (additional hours available by choice)
