Site Supervisor - Highways
Location: A30 Lee Mill to Ivybridge
Contract Type: 12-month contract
Working Hours: Day shifts
Pay: andpound;300-andpound;400 per day (DOE)

Summary
We are seeking a competent and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee civil engineering works on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills to coordinate site operatives and subcontractors, maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and ensure the successful delivery of drainage systems including pipes, manholes, culverts, and attenuation tanks. The Site Supervisor will also be responsible for site documentation, risk assessments, method statements, and liaising with project stakeholders to maintain smooth project progress.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors during civil engineering works
- Ensure all drainage systems (pipes, manholes, culverts, attenuation tanks) are installed correctly and safely
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Monitor site progress and report to senior management
- Manage site documentation including RAMS, permits, and daily records
- Identify and resolve site issues proactively to avoid delays
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met

Skills
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems including pipes, manholes, culverts, and attenuation tanks
- Proven site supervision experience in civil engineering or drainage projects
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Competent in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)

- CSCS Gold Card (essential)
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- First Aid Certificate
